Tashas @The Outlet Village

What better way to spend our Friday than strolling through the picturesque Tuscan-esque streets of The Outlet Village, whilst perusing a selection of fabulous stores. We left Sara, Farooq and Khalifa at "Stay & Play" while we continued our shopping. We worked up quite an appetite after walking threw The Outlet Village’s stunning paved walkways! It was time to relax and enjoy some good food!

We didn't need to look far. In a few steps we came up to a beautifully designed restaurant named Tashas which serves international foods. We were quickly greeted at the door and introduced to this place. He didn't have to speak much to convince us to eat here!

We decided to sit in one of the corners of the restaurant so that we could get a nice overall view of the space. I love interior design and home decor so I was enjoying the restaurants ambiance.

They have 2 locations in Dubai, and 1 location in Abu Dhabi. Every Tashas is a little bit the same but each one has an individual "inspiration".

Once seated, we were handed 2 Menus: the "Classic Menu" and the "Inspired by Menu". The inspiration of this Tasha restaurant was the "Great Gatsby"(I don't know about you but I think they did an amazing job with the decor!). We took our time reading both menus but their Classic Menu appealed to us more.

We love salads and Tashas had great choices. You also had the option to choose between half and full portions. We decided to try their full portion of quinoa salad with pickled beetroot, hazelnuts, feta, chives, sumac, baby spinach, grilled onions & pomegranate dressing.

All the ingredients were fresh and came nicely together with the pomegranate dressing to bring it all together. I mean look at those beautiful colors mixed together in that bowl!

To go with our beautiful salad, we ordered their lobster roll: a toasted brioche bun filled with canadian lobster, celery, chives, marie rose sauce & black seaweed caviar, served with fries and rocket salad. How beautiful are those grill marks on that buttery brioche bun! The lobster was fresh and well prepared in that creamy sauce. The only thing I would critique is that there wasn't enough lobster to meat compared to the size of the bun. After a couple of bites, we were left with bread and no lobster to meat to eat it with.

We needed a refreshing drink to accompany the delicious food. Tashas has some really good virgin cocktails available but we went with one of our all-time favourite drinks, the "Mojito".

My husband ordered the classic lime/mint mojito while I went with the passion fruit one. We both agreed mine tasted much better! If you love passion fruit flavored drinks, try their mojito!

As the meal was coming to an end, it was time for me to check out their sweets! Instead of enquireing about their cakes of the day, I had to go see them with my own eyes. They say we eat with our eyes first. So if I like what I see, you know I'll be trying it!

Have a sweet tooth?

How gorgeous is this counter you guys! I'm so glad I got out of my chair to see this! After taking a quick look at the cakes, as soon as I saw their cheesecake, I was sold! How simple yet beautiful is this slice of vanilla cheesecake with fresh blueberries and passion fruit. As soon as the plate arrived in front of me, I couldn't wait to take a bite! The cake was moist, soft and fluffy as it should be. I loved the flavor of vanilla bean in the cream. The tartness of the blueberries worked well against the richness of the cheese, which made it very pleasant and easy to eat. What a great way to end the meal!

Tashas is a restaurant where the environment you are eating in is as important as the food you are eating; a place where food and conversation go hand in hand. I'm glad my husband and I stopped here for dinner. Thank you chefs for a wonderful meal!

With the quality of the ingredients, the presentation and the vibe, at Tashas you'll be sure to have a memorable time! I know we did!
